Privacy

What we collect, what we deliberately do not, and why there is no cookie banner.

4 sections~2 min readVersion 1.0

Most of this audience has good reasons to dislike being tracked, and several of the usual analytics tools are unreachable from Iran anyway. Both of those pointed the same direction: collect as little as possible, first-party, with no way to reconstruct an individual.

01 · Analytics

No identifiers of any kind

We record page performance measurements and a small set of product events — a filter being applied, a calculator finishing, an outbound click. What we do not record: no user id, no session id, no IP address, no user-agent string, no fingerprint, no cross-site identifier.

Page addresses are stored as templates rather than real URLs. A visit to a firm page is recorded as “/[locale]/firms/[slug]”, never as the specific firm. That means the data can show that firm pages load slowly; it cannot show which firms you looked at, or in what order.

This is first-party — served from myfxkit.com and stored in our own database. No Google Analytics, no third-party tag, nothing shared with an advertising network.

02 · Cookies

No tracking cookies, hence no banner

We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. The only browser storage the site uses is functional: your theme choice, your language, and which table columns you have hidden — all kept locally in your browser, and none of it sent to us.

If you sign in, an authentication cookie is required for the session to work at all. That is the only cookie tied to a person, and only exists for signed-in users.

03 · Accounts

What an account stores

Creating an account is optional — the comparison table, calculators and live spread all work signed out. If you do create one, we store your email address (held by our authentication provider), and whatever you choose to add to your profile: display name, country, experience level, and any firms you save or notes you write.

Your country is used for one thing: showing whether firms accept traders from where you are. You can change or clear it at any time.

04 · Third parties and your rights

Who else is involved

The site runs on Vercel and stores data in Supabase; both necessarily process requests on our behalf. Outbound links to prop firms leave our site, and those firms have their own policies — we have no visibility into what they collect once you arrive.

To see, correct, or delete what an account holds, email admin@myfxkit.com. Because the analytics data contains no identifier, we genuinely cannot locate “your” rows in it — there is nothing linking those measurements to you, which is the point.
